History of Excellence

CTORZ Instruments is a family-run business that has been manufacturing surgical instruments since its establishment in 1973. The company was founded by Major A.R. Janjua, a retired Army Officer who had served in the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Department. His aim was to continue serving humanity by producing surgical instruments of the highest quality.

Expending Horizons: CTORZ Instruments’ Product Range

In the third quarter of the 1970s, CTORZ Instruments faced many challenges. However, under the notable leadership of Major A.R. Janjua, disciplined management, and the hard work of its employees, the company continued to produce quality products while also expanding its product range and production capacity. Major A.R. Janjua’s son, Ali Iftikhar, joined the company in 1978 and with his creative ideas and team-work, CTORZ Instruments continued to innovate and expand.

In the 1980s, the company added the manufacturing range of instruments for abdominal and cardio-thoracic surgery, which was highly appreciated by valued customers. In 1991, the first catalog of general surgical instruments was published, covering the range of about 1300 different instruments. CTORZ Instruments specializes in manufacturing high-quality instruments for general surgery, neurology, abdominal surgery, and cardio-thoracic surgery applications.

Passing the Torch: Leadership Succession at CTORZ Instruments

In 2002, Ahsan Ali, the grandson of Major A.R. Janjua, took over the company with his solid foundation, training, experience, and technical know-how. His aim is to make CTORZ Instruments the global leader in instrument manufacturing.

Innovation and Progress: The CTORZ Instruments Approach

The company expanded its product range to include very special retractor systems and in 2004, it started manufacturing instruments made of titanium and aluminum to reduce weight and maximize performance, hardness, and superior resistance to stress. The company invests its attention in continual improvement of quality and development of brand-new products.
